Note, all standard litre prices are those quoted by www.milkprices.com and are based on the following:
The liquid standard litre 4% bf, 3.3% protein, 30,000/ml Bactoscans, 200,000/ml SCC, 1 million litres a year on EODC but before seasonality, monthly profile payments, balancing, B price additions, capital retentions or annual incentive schemes. The manufacturing standard litre is to exactly the same specification with the exception of 4.2%bf and 3.4% protein.

Müller confirms 41.50ppl November farm gate milk price

Dairy farmers supplying Müller who meet the conditions for Müller Advantage will receive a milk price of 41.50ppl from 1 November 2025 Richard Collins, Head of Agriculture at Müller Milk & Ingredients said: “We are committed to paying our supplying farmers a stable and competitive milk price. While we recognise the ongoing challenges throughout the supply chain, we can’t ignore current market price reductions and supply being above forecast.

Arla’s October 2025 milk price will decrease by 1.70ppl for conventional milk whilst organic milk remains unchanged.

The liquid price is 43.47ppl for conventional milk and 55.56ppl for organic milk, based on 4% fat and 3.3% protein.    In their latest press release, Arla said “Global milk supplies are increasing both globally and in the EU. Retail sales are flattening, and commodity markets are adjusting down, on the back of a period with highly volatility during summer. The outlook is softening further from commodity markets impacted by plenty of milk available shifting the supply & demand balance.

Barbers October milk price – No change @ 45.08ppl

In their September newsletter, Barbers said “We are pleased to be able to support our longer term milk supply by declaring yet a further month of a milk price above 45ppl* for October. This being an unprecedented eleventh consecutive month above 45ppl*. (*milkprices.com manufacturing criteria @ BF4.20% & PR 3.40%).”

First Milk Reports “Competitive returns to its members and tangible progress on its regenerative farming agenda”.

28 August 2025 – British farmer-owned dairy co-operative First Milk has reported a 20% rise in turnover to £570 million for the year ending 31 March 2025, boosted by the acquisition of BV Dairy and strong demand for high quality protein rich and gut health dairy products.  Operating profit rose to £20.5 million, with the business maintaining stable debt levels and investing in its processing sites in the Lake District and Pembrokeshire.
