The Market – increases across the piste in September.

Butter, SMP, Mild Cheddar & Cream prices in September all increased significantly between 2% to 4% according to AHDB.
In addition, both AMPE & MCVE increased with AMPE + 1.81ppl in the month from 51.32p (Aug) to 53.13p (Sept) – see table at the top of this bulletin.
MCVE +1.86 ppl in the month from 52.06p (Aug) to 53.92 (Sept)
Spot milk is trading in a range of 55 to 58ppl
Meanwhile according to the latest halfway point forecast from AHDB Dairy GB milk production is predicted to hit 12.26 billion litres which will be 0.8% lower than a year ago. For sure some processors are reporting more milk starting to flow in some regions.
