3.75ppl total milk price increase for Arla Directs – from 1st December

Hot on the heels of the Arla member 1^st December price increase comes a similar and additional 3ppl increase for the Arla Directs which impacts on the Tesco and Sainsburys aligned farmers.

In making this announcement Arla have dispensed with the code compliant 30 days’ notice a move others would do well to note instead of using it as an excuse.  In addition, on the 29^th October Arla declared a 0.75ppl 1^st December increase so it has clearly revisited the numbers and upped this to 3.75ppl total increase.  This increase takes producers liquid standard litre price to 31ppl.
