Lanchester Dairies correction and further news

Posted on: 14/05/21

Last weeks Bulletin suggested Lanchester Dairies in the North East were holding producer’s standard liquid litre milk price for May at 25.7ppl.

Several Lanchester suppliers were quick to email Ian to confirm that their Milk Price for May and June is unchanged at under 25.5ppl.

This week Lanchester have announced a minimum 2.5ppl increase from July 1st.

According to its farmers one of the Lanchester’s largest liquid and cream customers is Gregg’s the bakers who have 1700 UK outlets and claim to keep 20,000 staff happy as well as all its customers.

For sure 75 dairy farmers who supply the milk sold and used by Gregg’s appear to be very unhappy with their milk price and urgently wanting, “a fair milk price and be treated fairly!”.
