1ppl milk price increase for Muller Direct suppliers from 1st June

This is a very welcome voluntary code compliant increase which takes producers standard liquid litre price to 28.25ppl assuming producers full fill the Muller Advantage parameters and achieve the additional 1ppl it delivers.
In their press release Muller attribute the increase to
“strong demand for liquid milk products combined with lower spring milk volumes from farms due to recent colder weather.”
“Markets remain strong at present and if this is sustained, we hope to build on this increase in the months ahead, as we continually monitor supply and demand.”
The pressure is now on others paying below this level to do what is right and confirm 1pps plus price increases quickly particularly those in the middle ground liquid market and brokerage who are regularly left wanting.
